Tour Description

The one and only Street food tour of Palermo, a walking tour led by a Sicilian guide that gives foodies the chance to enjoy the city like a local.

At the meeting point all travelers will receive their personal Streaty Palermo food passport.

The trail goes through Capo and Vucciria markets, jumping in and out from the alleys to the main streets and squares. Guides take travelers to food vendors carefully selected based on the quality of food and the authenticity of the location.

Foodies joining this tour will taste some delicate sample such as the panelle (chickpea fritters) and the sfincione (tomato focaccia) but also some challenging specialties, such as the one and only pani ca’ meusa (veal lung and spleen sandwich).

Not only food!

During the walk, Streaty guides discuss many topics other than the food, such as history, arts, daily habits (eg. how locals shop, how locals joke and talk), social and controversial issues (eg. mafia, trash or politics).

We do this in order to give a complete overview of the local culture. Our guides keep a laid-back attitude with the travelers making them feel as friends.

No Tourist traps!
